Saturday, February 4 (From Houston!)
GO PATS!! Can't believe I'm not going to see the Super Bowl! The conference has been awesome! Lots of space and lots of pictures to show my classes! We will be doing Galileo's experiment on Monday or Tuesday!

Sunday, 1-22-12 During the Pats/Ravens game!
Half-time is over and we're in the third quarter. Tomorrow, we will be doing the catapults - OUTSIDE so wear your jackets to class! On Tuesday, we will be cutting our food into small pieces and will be finding the mass of each sample. We will store them in ziplock bags for burning on Wednesday.

Sunday, 1/16
Don't forget! You should be doing your observations and, remember, the first engineering challenge is due on Thursday, 1/19! I didn't get sketches from all students and it counted as a grade. Also, check to see that you got credit for all 4 density activities! The quarter ends on Thursday (remember, we go to Voc-10 on Friday). If you are missing a lab, you can come in during lunch any day to complete your labs.
Tuesday, January 10, 2012
Wednesday, 1/11 20 facts!
With one partner, come up with 20 things you learned about density from the activities we did in class. Bullets are fine. Insert this into your Noteshare journal.

Sunday, 1/8/12
Yea to the Saints and Go Tebow! (unless they play us!) :) Hope you had a wonderful weekend and that you were able to get an observation in with the snow! Your first observation notebook check will be Thursday, 1/26. At that time, you need to have a copy of your proposal, a blank site-map (one of the 10 I copied for you), 3 completed observation sheets and your planning calendar. I won't collect them, but will check them. If you are working with another student, you only need one notebook for the 2 of you.
Tomorrow, you will be completing the graph for your density of water lab. When you are finished, you can do some planning for your challenge!

Monday, 1-2 See you tomorrow!
Tomorrow, we will talk about the Long Term Observations and you will get a chance to catch up with your partner if you have one. Also, I will be letting you know if you are missing work.

Saturday, 12/31! GRAIL reaches the moon, hopefully!
Happy New Years, almost!! Today, in about 15 minutes, actually, Grail A will make its burn to insert into orbit around the moon! Grail B will enter orbit at a little after 5 pm tomorrow.
I hope all of you have had a wonderful vacation. Don't forget that your Long Term Observation journal is due for the first check on January 11th. I will be looking for, at the minimum, your original proposal, a blank site map, and 3 observation sheets (completed with all biotic and abiotic information). I won't collect it. There only needs to be one Notebook for 2 team members.
